From August 2020, LMG will be participating in the Mentoring Pathways programme at Birkbeck University.
The programme aims to support the career aspirations of Birkbeck students by bridging the gap between academic learning and workplace practices, developing soft skills and broadening professional networks.
At LMG, we are dedicated to stepping up our efforts in developing your career in the museum and heritage sector. Through our webinar series, we believe we can facilitate progress in this area. We are always striving to make a difference, and invite you to learn more and lend your support.

Chair
Joe is the Chair of the London Museums Group. He joined the board in 2015 leading on blogs, social media, and funding bids, before being elected Chair in 2019. Joe is the Director of The Cartoon Museum, and has a strong track record of working with under-represented and marginalised communities.

Board Member
Finbarr works at the Museum of London as Director of Content. The teams that he takes responsibility for looks after the museum’s collection, curate exhibitions and delivers an extensive learning and engagement programme for Londoners.

Rebecca is the Museum Manager of Hackney Museum and joined LMG in 2018.
Rebecca is interested in co-curation methodologies and sharing the diverse histories of East London.

Committee Member - Events & Partnerships
May is a Learning Volunteer, and EDI working group member at the London Transport Museum. She is a Chartered Manager (Fellow of CMI), a Lecturer in Business and Management / Executive Coaching, and has more than 12 years' experience in contributing to and/or leading various functions including client success, corporate responsibility, and learning and development in for-profit and not-for-profit organisations.
MARIKA BERTELLI

Committee Member - Events
Marika is a Visitor Experience and Tour Guide at the Museum of Freemasonry. She holds a Master's degree in History of Art which brought her to work in many National Museums in London before landing her current role. She uses her passion and knowledge to educate and promote museum collections.
Ginette is experienced in event management and strategic planning. She has been the General Manager at the the Musical Museum for the past four years and was the Marketing Manager for eight years prior to this.

Carrie is a programme manager with a career that spans the museum, education, and charity sectors. With an interest in cultural learning, community engagement, and social impact, Carrie has developed creative programmes to engage diverse community groups with cultural education. She is currently Education & Learning Director at Saatchi Gallery.

Committee Member - Digital Engagement
Giulia is a marketing professional with a passion for making culture accessible through digital. Throughout her career, she has promoted exhibitions for national museums, built viral Instagram AR filters and photographed many theatre and music festivals. Her varied experience helps her to create engaging and accessible narratives using many digital tools. She is currently the Email Marketing Manager at the Southbank Centre.
ELLIS MURRELL

Committee Member - Digital Engagement
Ellis is a new entrant to the museums sector, having just finished his MA in World Heritage Studies, after dedicating his dissertation to the use of digital media in promoting heritage education. He is passionate about getting new people interested in museums and heritage, and hopes to land a job in museums in the near future. He currently works as a volunteer content writer for the Devon and Cornwall Policing Museum, and helps his local museum in Sevenoaks archive materials.
